Softball WA & Special Olympics Partnership
Published Mon 01 May 2023
Softball WA & Special Olympics Partnership
Softball WA is pleased to announce a partnership with Special Olympics Western Australia this year to establish inclusive practices and programs for softball players in Western Australia.
Our aim is to break down the barriers to participation, through access to inclusive sport training and education, and the delivery of inclusive competitions and programs for people with disabilities. To do this, we need to work together to support inclusive practices and programs across communities.
Our partnership with Special Olympics will provide a range of opportunities to the Softball WA community, including:
- Inclusive training and education opportunities that supports the delivery of sport to people with disabilities.
- Access to Special Olympics’ Affiliate Program, that includes access to Special Olympics competition pathway, ongoing promotional support, and program/event host opportunities.
- Establishment of Softball programs and events, that support the inclusion of people with disabilities across all levels of competition.
